The “Full Belly” refers to increased blade profile curve resulting in a stronger tip. I often think of these as “Old School” sloyds designed to be more multi-purposed than the the modern ultra fine tipped siblings. These make better belts knives and shop knives. I like the way the belly handles harder to carve woods with trickier grain, but I’ll you figure out the knives strength.
