Crucible Powdered Metallurgy in a spoon carving format!

If you’re not completely comfortable with your skills to maintain this style of knife, wait for a 52100 Carbon steel model and pass this one up. Or heck, see what happens, I cant stop you…

If you’re sharpening skills are on point, than can you expect less sharpening overall, and less wear between sharpening sessions.

3V stands for 3% Vanadium alloying addition. Vanadium carbides are incredibly hard and wear resistant. The moderate carbon content of .8% (similar to 1084) balances the steel for high strength and a 7% Chromium alloying gives it more hard carbides and some resistant to corrosion, sometimes called “semi stainless”.

Silicon carbide wet/dry paper (the typical grey stuff) is your best bet for sharpening. Only silicon carbide or diamond products sharpen this stuff efficiently. Water stones or other aluminum oxide products will be very slow going.
